The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has issued the 2023-2024 Financial Integrity Ratings System of Texas (FIRST) ratings, and we're proud to announce that Rio Grande City Grulla ISD has received a Superior Achievement rating, or an "A"—the highest rating a school district can achieve!
The FIRST rating system is designed to ensure that Texas public schools are held accountable for the quality of their financial management practices, encouraging schools to manage their resources
wisely to maximize funds for direct instructional purposes. Our Superior Achievement rating is based on an analysis of our financial data for fiscal year 2023, and it reflects our commitment to excellence in financial stewardship and providing the best possible education for our students.
